Egg dosa is a popular street food of Tamil Nadu. Now-a-days, egg dosa is available in all South Indian restaurants around the world. It is really simple food yet delicious and healthy as well. Among all the dosa varieties, egg dosa is my all time favorite, I can eat egg dosa all day, every day.
I usually serve the muttai dosa with kaiyendhi bhavan dosa kurma and chili garlic oil.

Ingredients :
- 1 egg
- 1/8 tsp of salt
- one tsp of chili garlic oil(optional)
- 1/8 tsp of black pepper
- 1/8 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of water
- 1 tsp of oil
Procedure :
1. In a small cup, mix the Black pepper powder, salt, and turmeric with a tsp of water. Then, break an egg into the cup and whisk well. Keep it aside.
2. Cut an onion into two halves. Take one half of the onion, facing the cut-down, lightly touch the oil. Rub the onion all over the surface of the dosa pan then, Heat the dosa pan/Iron griddle over medium heat.
3. When the tawa is heated, pour a ladle of dosa batter and immediately, spread it evenly in a circular motion into a thin circle. Take a tsp of oil, apply the oil around the edges of the dosa also, sprinkle some all over the dosa. Pour the beaten eggs over the dosa and spread the egg all over the surface of the dosa then, Take a tsp of chili garlic oil, sprinkle over the egg dosa. Cover the dosa with a lid and let it cook for a minute or so over medium heat.
3. Once the dosa is well cooked, open the lid and remove the dosa with a flat ladle.
