Vendaikka Puli Kootu is a traditional Tamil Food, not known to modern Tamil society. It is a tangy semi gravy recipe. The tanginess comes from country tomato(heirloom Tomato) and the tamarind extract. In olden days puli kootu is served for breakfast with pazhaya sadam. Pazhaya sadam is not common now, So I usually serve this vendaikka puli kootu with paruppu sadam or mix with steaming white rice. I cannot think of any other better way to eat this vendaikka puli kootu. Some people call it vendaikka puli pachadi. You may also like vendaikka Moore kootu recipe, check out the recipe here.
